Session plan

Four dated stages between the first brief and the last healed check.

  1. 01

    Brief and sketch

You describe placement, style and size band in writing, with reference images. The matched artist returns a written brief and one original sketch direction within five working days, drawn to the centimetre band you booked. Flash is not reused. One redraw is included at no cost before the stencil is cut.

  2. 02

    Stencil approval

The sketch becomes a stencil only after you approve it in studio light, at full scale, on the limb itself. Placement shifts of up to three centimetres are usual at this stage and cost nothing. Nothing is transferred to skin until you sign the approval line on your session sheet.

  3. 03

    Dated sessions

Each sitting is booked with a date, a start time, a stated duration and the needle gauge and machine recorded on your sheet. Large pieces are split on purpose: three to five hours per session, deposit credited to the final appointment, rescheduling accepted up to 72 hours ahead.

  4. 04

    Healing gaps

Sessions are spaced four to six weeks apart so lines settle before the next pass. Permanent makeup runs on a shorter rhythm, with a touch-up at six to eight weeks and fading expected over 12 to 24 months. Both gaps are written into your plan before the first appointment is confirmed.

Risks and aftercare

The same disclosure applies to tattoo work and to permanent makeup.

Every procedure breaks the skin, and healing is a biological process no studio can guarantee. What follows is the plain version of what can go wrong, and what the first eight weeks ask of you.

  • Infection

Heat, spreading redness or pus after day three is not normal healing. We use single-use needles, cartridges and barrier film, but skin can still react. See a doctor early instead of waiting it out.

  • Allergic reaction

Pigments carry metals and carriers that can trigger a reaction hours or months later, most often as itching or raised bumps inside the line. A patch test two weeks before the session is the only practical precaution.

  • Scarring

Keloid-prone skin, picking at scabs and repeated passes over one area all raise the risk. Tell your artist about any raised scar you already carry before the session plan is fixed.

  • Pigment migration

Fine lines can blur outward over years, especially on thin or sun-exposed skin such as fingers, eyelids and lips. Blur cannot be corrected with a touch-up, only worked around in a new design.

  • Fading and uneven healing

Permanent makeup is long-lasting, not permanent: expect visible lightening over 12 to 24 months. Tattoo ink also softens with time, and one patch may heal lighter than its neighbour.

Aftercare, first eight weeks

  1. Keep the protective film on for 24 hours and wash your hands before removing it.
  2. Wash twice a day with lukewarm water and unfragranced soap, then pat dry with a clean paper towel.
  3. Apply a thin layer of aftercare balm, no more than twice a day. A thick coat slows healing.
  4. No sauna, pool, sea or gym for 14 days.
  5. No direct sun or solarium on the area for four weeks, then SPF 50 whenever it is exposed.
  6. Do not pick or scratch scabs; let them fall off on their own.
  7. Book the permanent makeup touch-up at 4 to 6 weeks. Tattoo revisions follow the terms agreed in your session plan.

A consultation and patch test are recommended before every procedure. Book a consultation and we will walk through your skin history, pigment choices and revision terms in person.

04 Consultation

Every procedure starts with a conversation, not a needle. Book a consultation and a patch test before your session is confirmed.

  • Consultation 30 minutes at the studio. We review references, agree placement and size in cm, and count the sessions the design needs.
  • Patch test Pigment and anaesthetic sensitivity check, done at least 48 hours before a permanent makeup appointment.
  • Design brief You leave with a written plan: artist match, sketch stage, session length and the revision terms that apply.

Consultation is included in the session price when you book on the day. Payment details and deposit terms are confirmed in writing before the first appointment.
